If you place an order, it is on the understanding that you have read, understood and accepted our Terms and Conditions contained herein. If you do not accept our Terms and Conditions, please do not use, interact or purchase from Stamping Street. By purchasing from Stamping Street, we will take this as confirmation that you have accepted our current Terms and Conditions and you will be entering into a contract with Stamping Street subject to these Terms. Personalised orders may not be cancelled or returned.
This website, social media accounts and Etsy shop are administered by Sally Walker, trading as Stamping Street.

1.1 We may revise these terms at any time and you should regularly read our current Terms & Conditions. As a minimum you must read our current Terms and Conditions when placing a new order and before making payment. If you no longer agree to accept revised Terms and Conditions, please no longer use, interact or purchase from Stamping Street.
2.1 You may order via our website, Etsy store, email at [email protected] Facebook page or other social media accounts.
2.2 We can refuse to accept any order if the item you have ordered or parts required to complete your order, are no longer available, or for any reason, without disclosure of the reason.
2.3 It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to ensure that you provide us with the correct wording and spelling for personalised items. Once your item has been made, it cannot be rectified without additional costs being incurred. We hold no responsibility if you do not provide us with accurate information.
2.4 When ordering a necklace from Stamping Street, you will be supplied with a sterling silver 18" ball chain (minimum 1.0mm thickness) unless stated otherwise in the product listing or we agree otherwise prior to receiving payment.
2.5 Stamping Street will not be held responsible for any allergies caused by the materials used in their products, for example, some of our products may contain nickel. Each product description will include a list of the metal used. If in any doubt, please contact us to query. It is you, the customers, responsibility to ensure safe and appropriate wear.
2.6 We reserve the right to refuse to stamp items with wording deemed to be obscene, threatening or offensive and we reserve the right to refuse to accept any order that we deem to fall into this category.
2.7 If any of our listings are marked with a stock quantity, for example, it says that there are 84 in stock, this does not mean that we have 84 ready made items in stock. It either means that we have 84 blank shapes in stock ready to be stamped and therefore available to order, or it means that we can have control over how many orders are received. Your item still has to be hand made before it can be delivered.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 If ordering via social media or email, upon confirming your requirements, we will email you with a link to make payment. All custom orders will be paid for via our website and a 'custom order' payment button that you will need to 'add to basket' and 'checkout'.
3.2 We accept payment by credit or debit card and Paypal. Alternatively you may pay by bank transfer or cheque, details available upon request. Cleared payment in full must be received prior to us dispatching your order and commencing work. Your order is not deemed as being made or accepted until cleared payment in full is received. This also applies to e-cheques.
3.3 Our prices do not include VAT as we are not registered for VAT.
3.4 We reserve the right to revise and review our prices on a regular basis and without prior notice to yourself.
3.5 Invoices that are overdue by 2 weeks will be cancelled. In this event, you will be required to begin the ordering process again should you still have a requirement.
4. Postage (UK)
4.1 Your order will be posted to you, within the United Kingdom, either by 1st class Royal Mail Signed For Delivery at a cost of £2.45 or Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery at a cost of £7.15, unless agreed otherwise. Exclusions may apply. You will be asked to select your chosen method of postage when checking out. Please note that Special Delivery is a postal method only. Your item still has to made before it can be posted. We are not guaranteeing to deliver your item next day. You are paying for a service offered by Royal Mail who will deliver next day, track and insure your order if you choose this method.
4.2 Postage is a flat rate. Therefore your postage will not exceed £2.45 or £7.15, see 4.1, no matter how many items you purchase at any one time.
4.3 We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the post. Signed For delivery is not a trackable service. We are able to confirm that the item has been delivered and signed for and view the signature of the person who took receipt. We cannot track your item before it reaches its destination. If you require a trackable service please select Special Next Day Delivery. We strongly recommend this option for any orders exceeding £20 in value. We will supply the tracking number upon request only.
4.4 We cannot be held responsible for items that are delayed in the post unless they exceed the timeframes as stated in clauses 4.4.1, 4.4.2 or 4.4.3. We will only offer a replacement or refund following the loss of your order, if we are able to claim the costs back from Royal Mail. This means that the loss was cause by a Royal Mail error only. If the loss occurs because you provide us with an incorrect shipping address or because of any other fault of your own, no replacement of refund will be offered.
4.4.1 Compensation Claims for delivery within the UK - 1st Class Signed For Delivery is not a guaranteed next day service. Royal Mail advise that delivery can take up to 15 days. If you require next day delivery or delivery by a specific date, please select Special Next Day Delivery. If your order has not been delivered or located 15 working days after dispatch, we will replace or refund your order. A replacement or refund will not be offered until the 15th working day period has lapsed.
4.4.2 Compensation Claims for delivery within Europe - estimated delivery after posting is 3-5 working days. If your order has not been delivered or located 20 working days after posting, we will replace or refund your order. A replacement or refund will not be offered until the 20th working day period has lapsed. Tracked and Signed for delivery is used when available. For specific information with regards to your location, we recommend consulting the RoyalMail.com website.
4.4.3 Compensation Claims for delivery to Rest of the World - estimated delivery after posting is 5-7 working days (exceptions apply). If your order has not been delivered or located 25 working days after dispatch, we will replace or refund your order. A replacement or refund will not be offered until after the 25th working day period has lapsed. Tracked and Signed for delivery is used when available. For specific information with regards to your location, we recommend consulting the RoyalMail.com website.
4.4.4 If a delivery attempt was made, and you fail to re-arrange delivery or collect your item, your order will be returned to us. In this case, we will charge you additional postage costs to re-ship your item.
4.4.5 If a delivery attempt is made and you do not re-arrange delivery or collect your item, your order will be returned to us. In the event that your order is lost in transit on its way back to us, we will not offer a replacement or refund until either the 15, 20 or 25 working day period has lapsed (see clauses 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.3)
4.5 It is your, the customers, responsibilty to ensure that we hold the correct address for posting. If paying via Paypal, please ensure that your address as per your Paypal acount is correct. We hold no responsibilty if you do not supply us with the correct postal address at the time of ordering. Please ensure that your Customer LogIn details are kept up to date at all times.
4.6 We will only post to the address as per your Paypal account or the delivery address supplied during check-out. Your order may be refused and refunded if the name and address supplied at Paypal or check-out is different to the name and address requested for posting.
4.7 Where free postage applies, your item will qualify for 1st class Signed For delivery only. If you require another postage method, the difference in cost will apply and it will be necessary to contact us to make this request.
4.8 Please note that we do not allow 'collections'. This option was withdrawn on 4th January 2016.
4.9 Postage (Overseas) We ship overseas. Delivery times will depend upon your location (see clause 4.4). We use a signed and tracked postal option where available. Please note that we use Royal Mail. Once your parcel leaves the UK, a delivery partner is then responsible for delivery and responsible for updating tracking information. We do not have access to tracking information if the delivery partner does not update the details. Tracking reference number will be supplied upon request. Your order may be subject to a customs charge or a delay at customs. A fair estimate of delivery times to Europe is 3-5 working days after posting, and rest of the world with exceptions, 5-7 business days. See Royalmail.com for more information.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 You do not have the right to cancel if your goods are made to the customers specifications or are personalised. You may not cancel your order if we have commenced work on your order therefore we urge you to contact us as soon as possible should you wish to cancel your order and in any event, within 24 hours and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.
5.2 We reserve the right to refuse to cancel your order and refuse to refund partial or full payment if work has commenced on your order.
5.3 Non-personalised items are subject to a 14 day cooling off period and may be returned for a full refund within this time period.
6. Dispatch times
6.1 This will depend on how full our order book is at the time of receiving your order and whether we have the materials required to fulfil your order, in stock. We aim to deliver your completed order with 10 days (usually less).
6.2 During busy periods please check our Home Page for confirmation of delivery times as these can change daily.
6.3 During busy periods, we may be forced to close to catch up on your orders. Remember our items are handmade and they take as long as they take to make. By closing to new orders, it means we can offer a good standard of service to the customers that have already placed an order.
7. Returns Policy
7.1 Non-personalised items may be returned to us within 14 days. The item must be returned in its original condition, unworn and in its original packaging to prevent damage in the post. Please contact us to discuss your return whereby we will provide the information required. Your refund will be processed within 2 working days of us receiving the item back. A Returns Form is available upon request.
7.2 You, the buyer, will be responsible for postage costs both ways unless your item is faulty. For clarity, if you return an item because you have changed your mind, no longer have a need for the item, it is not what you expected or for any other reason other than it is faulty, you will be refunded the cost of the item minus the original amount of postage paid.
7.3 If your item is faulty, your postage costs we will be refunded to you, in addition to the cost of your item, not to exceed £7.15.
7.4 Personalised items may not be returned.
7.5 Earrings may not be returned for health and safety reasons.
7.6 We urge you to return your item using a secure method of postage and obtain proof of posting with insurance. We will not be held responsible for returns that do not arrive and you, the buyer, will be responsible for claiming for any loss via Royal Mail or the company you instruct to return your order to us.
7.7 We will not refund or exchange item owing to damage from improper use, general wear and tear or age.
7.8 In the event that we, Stamping Street, make an error or your item is faulty, we will offer to repair your item, a replacement or a refund and will work closely with you to ensure your satisfaction. Customer service is of paramount importance to us.
8. About hand stamped jewellery and caring for your item
8.1 Avoid getting your item wet as this could encourage tarnishing and encourage the 'ink' to fade. Avoid getting hairspray or perfume on your item and do not wear in the bath, shower, swimming, sauna, hot tub or steam room. Certain metals can dull over time and we would recommend cleaning with mild soap and water and buffing with a soft cloth to shine. Products such as Everbrite will clean and protect metal. Mild household abrasives such as toothpaste are also commonly used to clean jewellery.
8.2 If over time, your item does dull, lose its shine or your wording fades, you may send it to us whereby we will endeavour to polish and re-ink your wording. We do not guarantee that your item will look 'new' but will endeavour to achieve best results. You, the customer, will be responsible for postage both ways however our maintenance service is free of charge and is applicable for the life of your jewellery and whilst Stamping Street continue to trade. If you request for parts to be replaced or your jewellery to be amended or added to, additional costs will apply.
8.3 We do not recommend or suggest that you purchase our items for children. It is your responsibilty to assess the age of the child that the item is intended for. Our products are certainly not suitable for children under the age of three.
8.4 Whilst maximum care is taken to minimise sharp edges, our items are made of metal and we will not be held responsible for injury caused by misuse or without due care or attention.
8.5 It is common for hand stamping to leave a slight impression or mark on the reverse of the metal. Each individual letter is hammered by hand to leave an indentation in which ink is inserted. The excess metal is therefore forced outwards. For this reason, we cannot stamp on both sides of the metal as it will distort the lettering and weaken the metal itself. This imperfection is considered part of the appeal of buying handmade and is certainly not to be considered a flaw. Please do not confuse hand stamping with engraving which merely scratches the surface and is mostly achieved by machinary creating a precise and different finish on often mass produced items.
8.6 Scratching. Slight scratching can occur on some of the soft metals we use such as aluminium. Soft metals are vital so that as humans, we can apply sufficient pressure to make a deep enough impression by hand. The metal goes through certain processes after stamping to harden however please still expect a minimal amount of surface scratching.
8.7 Aluminium is a lightweight soft metal, required so that as humans, we are able to create an impression by hand. We use 1.2mm - 1.5mm thickness aluminium and source quality materials.
9. Privacy and Photographs
9.1 Photographs of completed orders are often posted on our social media pages, Etsy, our website and in our literature for promotional use. Please advise at the time of ordering if you do not wish your item to be used in this manner. We will not use your full name or tag you in such photographs. If you request 'names' and 'dates of birth' to be stamped onto your items, this data in the form of your finished item, could be published unless agreed otherwise. If you place an order, it is on the understanding that you have read, understood and accepted this and are aware that it is your responsibilty to notify us if you do not wish your item to be used in this manner.
9.2 We will not share your personal data with any third party.
10. Service Access
10.1 We endeavour to ensure that all details on our website and social media outlets are accurate and up to date however we do not guarantee this and reserve the right to refuse your order if the item you have ordered or parts of, are no longer available.
10.2 Access to website or social media outlets may be suspended temporarily without notice.
11.1 All Terms and Conditions apply to any competition or give-away held by us.
11.2 Competitions and give-aways promoted via Facebook are held by us and are in no way affiliated, sponsored or associated to Facebook.
12. Gift Certificates
12.1 You may redeem your Gift Certificate online only, at www.stampingstreet.com by entering your unique code at checkout.
12.2 If the value of your order is less than the value of your Gift Certificate, your unused balance will be lost. You may only enter and use your unique code once. For example, if your Gift Certificate value is £10 and you only spend £5.99, you cannot use your code in a separate purchase to redeem the outstanding amount.
12.3 If the value of your order exceeds the value of your Gift Certificate, you may pay the extra using a different method such as Paypal, debit or credit card.
12.5 Gift Certificates are valid for 12 months from date of issue. You may confirm the expiry date by contacting us quoting your unique code.
12.6 Gift Certificates exclude postage costs. This is because a payment gateway provider will not accept a payment of £0. Customer to pay postage.
12.7 Lost Gift Certificates. In the event that you lose a Gift Certificate, you must contact us immediately with proof of purchase whereby we will deactivate the unique code. Proof of purchase can include the original Stamping Street order number, the name and address of the customer who purchased the Gift Certificate or by forwarding us the original confirmation email we send after purchase. Proof of purchase to be sent to [email protected] Upon receipt of proof of purchase, we will issue a new unique code.
12.8 Gift Certificates hold no cash value and can be used to purchase Stamping Street goods only.
13. Scratch Cards
13.1 Scratch cards are issued as 'on the spot prizes' via our social media pages, as competition prizes or can be found randomly in your orders as a token of our appreciation.
13.2 Scratch card prizes are valid for 12 months after issue.
13.3 Prizes range from a percentage off a future order or a fixed value to spend.
13.4 Scratch card prizes can be redeemed at www.stampingstreet.com only by entering a unique code at checkout.
13.5 Lost scratch cards will not be replaced.
13.6 If your prize is a fixed value amount, the code can only be used once. Therefore, if the value of your order is less than the value of your prize, you will lose the remaining amount and cannot redeem the outstanding amount at a later date. Fixed value prizes exclude postage costs.
13.7 Postage costs to be paid by the customer.
13.8 Scratch cards are discretionary and are issued randomly without the sender having prior knowledge of its value or worth.
13.9 Scratch cards hold no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
We will not tolerate abusive, offensive or obscene language either directly or publicly on our Facebook page and reserve the right to delete any comment and ban and report any person that we feel are acting in a unacceptable manner.
A paper copy of your invoice will be sent with all orders received via a non customer facing method.
All items are handmade and therefore will vary slightly from the photographs shown. Our wording is stamped by hand and therefore by its very nature and appeal, will have its imperfections and irregularities and no two items will be the same. Many of the metal shapes we use are cut or moulded by hand which can lead to slight variations between products which is to be expected and not considered a flaw. All sizes are approximate for this reason.
For anything else please contact us. All website and social media material including product design, presentation, text and images are copyright and for the sole use of Stamping Street. Any misuse will be dealt with accordingly.
